When building on .NET8.0 with WinUISDKReferences=false still seems to add dependencies on Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00 & Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.UWPDesktop packages

Basically same question as here #3524

Finally found time to upgrade to latest WindowsAppSDK v1.7 and building for net8.0-windows10.0.19041.0. But somehow I can't get rid of the dependencies on Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00 & Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.UWPDesktop.

WinUISDKReferences is set to false but still the dependencies are included. Does this needs to happen in another way now?

To answer my own question. Apparently related to Webview2 🤦 .

Fixed by adding
