Application no longer runs in debug mode Visual Studio

After updating my application to WASDK 1.3, it no longer runs when set to debug. When I hit F5, I am able to see the diagnostic tools window popup and some resources being used, but after 5-10 seconds, it crashes with no error. However, when I switch to release mode, the application opens and runs normally.

Reverting the project back to version 1.2.5 seems to cause the same issues, where debug no longer runs the app, but release works fine. I have also updated other projects to version 1.3, and they seem to exhibit similar behavior.
