Hi, published a Windows App SDK 1.2 app in the Microsoft Store. But the only way i could do this was by compiling it as self-contained. Now my package contains all .NET 7 dlls and Windows App SDK dlls which is slower and bigger that i would like for my deployment package.
As the Windows App SDK is by Microsoft i thought i will be possible to have it as a dependency. I found this guide https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/deployment-architecture but i don't realy understand it. It describes you that it needs following packages but it does not give you the right PackageDependency values for this.
And the deploymentmanger is useless than in order to reach this code the NET 7 Desktop runtime must already be installed.
Edit: But if i would set appsdk as not selfcontained but in my publishing profile the app so that only .net 7 desktop runtime is included (which is not good but better than now) where should i call the Deployment Manager api to check for WindowsAppSdk, before or after i initialized the MainWindow?
So what should i add to my appxmanifest and csproj files in order to compile without the SelfContained>true</ publish option and without having to include the hole Windows App SDK? Can i add Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime and mayb the signleton package as PackageDependency? And are there any advantages of using WindowsAppSDKSelfContained?
Or is there any other description on how to add the .NET 7 Desktop runtime as dependeny for a packaged ms store app? (Because if every WindowsAppSDK store app would include the same .net runtime dlls in order to run it would be a huge waste of space on the customer drive)
Sorry for that many questions but i'm very new to Windows App SDK .NET store deployment and i want to do it right and as much space and performance saveing as possible.
