Project Idea 3 : Update the Microcks Hub frontend and make it deployable on-premises

• Microcks Hub is a community driven Hub to aggregate standards or product-related API mocks and test suites.
• It was created a long time ago with a technology stack we should refresh (Angular 8 at the moment). We're looking for talented people regarding UI design dans frontend and would be happy to help them contributing
• It was designed at first to be only deployable in a single public instance but there are requests to make it deployable on-premises. We're looking for contribution on this part - helping in development of Docker Compose files, Kubernetes Helm Charts or whatever make sense.
• The code base is hosted on https://github.com/microcks/hub.microcks.io

Hi, I'm interested in contributing to this issue! I have experience in frontend development, particularly with modern frameworks like React.js and Angular , and have worked on deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes. I have built web applications using Next.js, TailwindCSS, and various backend technologies, including PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM.

This project aligns with my skills and interests, and I’d love to contribute to updating the Microcks Hub frontend and making it deployable on-premises.

Do we need to update the Angular 8 version, or is there a plan to migrate to another tech stack for the Microcks Hub frontend? I’d love to understand the direction before diving into development.

Regarding the tech stack, some work has been engaged for Microcks UI, so it is better to use the same directions.

Of course, you can always start to join the community and contribute to it (outside of the 7 LFX mentorship projects, as we do not want to bypass the program process and want it to be fair for all). But, yes, starting to contribute is clearly the best way for mentees to check and immerse themself within the community, see what is expected and demonstrate their motivation 😉

I’m really excited about this issue and would love to contribute! I have extensive experience in frontend and backend development, particularly with the MERN stack and Next.js. I’ve worked on real-time applications and projects requiring scalability, UI modernization, and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.

Given my experience with modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Next.js, TailwindCSS) and backend technologies (Node.js, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL), I believe I can efficiently help update the Microcks Hub frontend and assist in making it deployable on-premises.

I’m eager to align with the current tech stack direction and contribute effectively to both UI enhancements and deployment improvements (Docker Compose, Helm Charts, or other relevant solutions).
