Spotty plugin 'disappeared' from both Active and Inactive plugins on my MF Encore (Squeezebox based)

As of today, Spotify no longer works on my Musical Fidelity Encore Connect.

After re-entering the Spotify Secret Client ID (for playing 320kbps), Spotty totally disappeared from both Active and Inactive plugins.
Cannot re-install and does not accept the Spotty version published at https://www.herger.net/slim-plugins/repo.xml

Is there anything you can help me with?

MF's LMS and Perl are so dated they can't handle modern https - which many modern web servers are expecting.

You could try to add the registry URL with http instead of https in the front and see whether that would solve the problem?

FWIW: there's a way to install a recent LMS on the Encore. See https://forums.lyrion.org/forum/user-forums/3rd-party-software/1729910-a-guide-to-install-latest-lms-on-musical-fidelity-encore. It wouldn't solve the https issue, though. Unless I'm mistaken.

Thanks for the quick reply! I will make another attempt on HTTP and might go for the upgrade according to the link you sent. Searching still for someone familiar with Linux, to interpret behavior different from what is "in the script".
