Minting NFT after burn

Added a new feature in Token Metadata V1.3 that allows users to burn NFTs, but:

• there is no way to mint it again with an existing mint, as the mint authority is replaced by the edition account;
• unable to create edition account, because mint supply must be 1.

after you burn it the point is not to be able to make it again. Could you go more in depth on your use casE?

Currently, we're creating a blockchain game with NFT-based inventory.
One of the features - allow user to remove an inventory item if user considers it unnecessary (common drop, etc.).
It would be nice if removed inventory item can be restored later by the support team.
It is essential that the mint address remains the same.

Why not just move it to some kind of escrow account controlled by you instead of burning it? Burning it is destroying it.

Our advisors say that this will fool our players.
We considered several solutions, including this one, looks like better solution for us is to choose erc721, it easily accept all our requirements (including mint after burn scenario also).
