Does this ring any bells @ddundo @stephankramer? I know you both edited the Docker file in recent months. We're hitting the same issue in #150.

The error that you posted in the original comment is actually not relevant: it is the step before that fails and which you reported in a separate issue #148. So these two issues are essentially duplicates :)

The issue was the same as in #131 - which was fixed for Docker workflows but not for this one. Now I fixed that in #151 but there is another issue related to petsctools.init (possibly also related to mesh-adaptation/animate#196 ? )
