Description
What I am looking for is a software solution similar to the Samsung Frame TV "Art Mode" which displays pictures with reduced brightness to make them look more like art or framed photos versus a glaring and bright TV image. I wouldn't necessarily be interested in this as an option but Samsung makes it fairly challenging to use your own images. They have really neutered things over the past year or two to try to force you into a subscription model.
I know that you can't replicate Art Mode exactly since they do it by reducing how much light is being used to power the actual TV but there should be some image processing options to reduce the brightness and contrast of the image. Maybe have some kind of Slideshow Brightness option with Normal, Medium, and Low brightness. Normal would display the image as normal. Medium would reduce it about halfway (good for reducing the brightness during the day), and Low brightness would reduce it the most (good for reducing the brightness at night).
Anyway, this would be an interesting feature to implement. There is a sub Reddit for the TV at r/TheFrame and you will see lots of people love the concept of the TV but hate the direction Art Mode is going. I also made a post on r/Lightroom to see if any of the experts there had some ideas on image settings to achieve a similar effect. We'll see what they say.
