[Issue]: Endeless loop uploading/downloading in Megasync 5.12.0

I am getting #1054 while running 5.12.0 on Windows 10 and Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm). I set up Raspberry Pi last week and around 50,000 files synced successfully, but around 165 files are stuck in a loop syncing between the two systems.

If I remove any one of the local devices, the other one syncs with the cloud OK. When I reintroduce the missing device, each file will be downloaded/re-uploaded, then the other device will download/reupload it and the cycle will start all over again until I run out of bandwidth or space. Space runs out because space for Rubbish and previous versions grows with every cycle, and I have to clear it to continue.

Over several days I tried these:

1. disabled https on both setups
2. deleted previous versions, rubbish and debris on both systems and the cloud.
3. deleted and re-added, renamed, re-dated, selectively paused/unpaused, slightly changed content of affected files.
4. removed files locally and added them through the web interface
5. switched to Advanced issue resolution and selected to keep either or both versions in conflicts.
6. I moved files around to shorten their paths.
7. I checked permissions.

None of these made any difference. The exact same files have been looping. The only thing they seem to share in common is they are all large 30MB+.

Below is the reply I received from MEGA Support, if anyone wants to try to fix their problem and share if it worked. I am currently away, so it will have to wait.

We are already aware of this issue, and our developers are currently investigating it - sorry for the inconvenience.

Please make sure that you have installed the latest version (v5.13) of our Desktop app on all your computers by reinstalling it from this link: https://mega.io/desktop

If the issue persists after updating to the latest desktop app version, please proceed with the details below.

Please help us to further debug this issue by providing us with the following (redacting out sensitive/personal information, if any):

1. Screenshot of the main desktop app home screen
2. If that shows "Issue(s) detected" in red, please click on it and also send us a screenshot of the dialogue that opens
3. Screenshot of: M on your task bar - Settings - Sync tab, showing both local and MEGA paths (it can be seen by hovering the mouse over your syncs)
4. Screenshot of: Right-click on your local synced folder - Properties
5. Are you syncing a local, external or network drive?
6. What is the filesystem type of your drive?

Please also indicate:

• Do you have multiple synced devices?

• Do you have those devices running at the same time, or do you always have one device online while the other(s) are offline?

• Does the issue affect old files, or only the recently added ones?

Lastly, for further investigation, please enable the debug mode in the Desktop app to generate a log file.

Steps to perform:

1. Close / Exit the Desktop app.

2. Go to the path of your Desktop app installation and locate the executable file.

• Go to your desktop shortcut or to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\MEGAsync.

3. Launch the Desktop app while pressing CTRL+Shift and double-click the client icon.

4. The Desktop app will start in a debugging mode. From this moment, a file named MEGAsync.log will be generated on your Desktop.

5. Repeat the steps to reproduce the issue you are experiencing.
   Please let the Desktop app run for at least 10 minutes so that the logs contain enough information for the investigation.

6. To disable the generation of log messages, just close the client and open it in the usual way.

Please send us the log file. If the file is large (over 2MB), please upload it to MEGA through a web browser and forward the file link (right-click and select Share link - Copy link) to us for later analysis.

Update: I followed all the step in MEGA Support's email, but nothing's changed and I let them know. All my setups are on v5.13. Almost all my setups (Windows, Linux, web, Android) always synced OK. What seems to confuse Mega is syncing those systems with Raspberry Pi OS 12.
