Should i fork or use as a template

Hi everyone 👋

I’m starting a new store and i plan on using this Next.js storefront project since it's the official one. I plan to customize it long‑term, add features like a search bar and dynamic navigation on categories and collections and keep it in my own GitHub org for collaboration. Should I:

1. Fork the repo (and sync upstream updates)?
2. Or use it as a template and start fresh?

Which approach has worked best for you and why? Thanks !
