Remaining changes for completing #999 integration.

I've reviewed. I'll merge it onto head, however please note:

1. the change log in README.md has not been updated
2. we've not updated the version number in the header file or in library.properties -- even though we'vd not changed anything in the core libarary, the arduino infrastructure basically requires a version bump. It can be a patch version, since core function is not changing.
3. we don't have any regression tests to check that the example compiles

Hi @terrillmoore. I started working on this one. Points 1 & 2 are straightforward. Point 3 I wanted to check in with you before I get too deep in to it.

From what I can tell, the existing tests will (do) run on the new example, however, with an incompatible board and radio - eg from the arduino-ci actions from the last PR:

My initial thoughts are that updating the radio and board args for the esp32 arch would result in all examples being compiled for both boards and both radios:

What are your thoughts on this approach? Is this what you had in mind?
