Missing changes in truma_target_temp_water

Hi Magnus,
your work on inet2mqtt is really great.
Changing room temperature and fan operate fine on my Truma heating device.

However I am not successfully when trying in water heating from off to eco or boost.
In contrast to other operations I can't observe any receiving of commands by the CPplus and also the label truma_target_temp_water doesn't change.
Looking in truma.yaml I am not sure if there should be some mqtt services starting from line 281?

I found the root cause due following error message in HA:

Error while executing automation automation.truma_water_switch_on: extra keys not allowed @ data['payload_template']

In truma.yaml at line 424

• alias: "TRUMA water switch on"
  there was still another usage of "payload_template".
  Replacing it by "payload" the application works!!!

Hi Andreas,

I'm glad you like my solution.
In fact, there was once a syntax adjustment in HA (actually happens too often) from payload_template to payload. However, I had also adapted the code during the release change. I can no longer find any errors in the docs. I have just tested again in the RV - switching on "Hot Water" also works there.
Do you have an older version? Does it work for you now?

thank you for your reply.
I downloaded truma.yaml at 8th of November 2025 and it works with the done adjustments concerning payload_template fine, also for water heating.

Do you know, if there is any signal in the truma signal configuration, which answers "immedeatly" on the receive of a sended command, so that you can recognize from far away if the request is operated?
