UX & Feature Suggestions – Lyrics tab, YouTube Likes, Queue improvements & more

Hi there,

first of all, thank you for building and maintaining this amazing app! I'd like to suggest a few features and improvements that could make the user experience even better:

1. Always-visible Lyrics tab

Instead of having to scroll down, it would be great to have a permanent "Lyrics" tab/button at the bottom for quick access.

2. Swap App Like and YouTube Like positions

The YouTube Like button already exists, but it’s quite small and placed at the bottom. It would be more practical if its position were swapped with the larger app-internal Like button at the top – since users like me mainly use YouTube, this would streamline interaction.

3. Bigger "Up Next" (Queue) button

The queue button is a bit small. A larger, more accessible button (possibly near the like button) would make it easier to manage.

4. Better queue reordering (drag & drop)

A more intuitive reordering method – e.g., like YouTube Music with two horizontal bars for drag-and-drop – would be a great improvement.

5. Swipe down to exit song view

Swiping down from the top of the screen to exit the song detail view would feel very natural.

6. Customizable background on the home screen

Some open-source players (like Spotube) allow you to set a custom background – this would be a great visual touch.

7. Listening statistics

An additional Statistic: How much money you "owned" the Artists would be a cool extra, inspired by apps like Spotube.

8. Blurred navigation bar option

Right now, the nav bar is either fully transparent or black. A blurred/translucent option would look more modern.
