I just got my td-free, printed the case and assembled without issues.

A couple of questions on td measurement.

1. Is it possible to quantify the measurement accuracy? Is it a non linear function of filament transmissivity, or is it a static +/- value?
2. I tried to measure a clear filament with a td of approximately 40, but the td free did not return a value. Is there an upper limit to TD?

1. It's a linear function and you can edit its curve. You can edit it by visiting http://YOUR_TD_FREES_IP/algorithm.
2. I'm not aware of an upper limit as the td value is computed from the % of light coming through the filament. The upper limit is only defined by the threshold used to detect if filament is inserted. It can probably be lowered.

What i am finding is nearly transparent filaments with td probably greater than 30 are not being detected. Is the threshold for filament detection user modifiable?

Hi, I've just checked it out and the threshold is a 80. So a TD of up to 80 should be measurable, as the software "detects" a filament when less than 80% of the light comes through. The new release now allows you to set the threshold to your needs.

I finally got back to this, but realize I do not know how to update the firmware.
Can this be done ota?
if not, how do I flash the new firmware?
