Lag between casting device and speakers. Plus laptop speakers remain on

There is a 10sec delay in the sound in casting, also my laptop speakers remain working.
Is there a way to fix that?

The delay is probably due to buffering. By the way, before I used this software, I had non-stop pauses and glitches casting music from PC via Chrome. It was awful. I figure that was due to there being no buffer. And timing issues with real-time and wifi. It was this very problem of glitching that led me to search and find this solution. Glitches gone! Since I'm only casting music the startup delay isn't an issue for me.

As for the local speakers, I mute them using the standard PC speaker volume control in the tray. Interestingly, this does not stop or affect the chromecasting.

What is your usage and situation? It is always interesting to know how people are using it.
