tailwind-language-server continues running even after closing neovim

On multiple mornings I have opened my laptop to find the battery had gone from 100% to 0% overnight. Turns out the culprit was a tailwind-language-server process started by mason that continued to run in the background after closing neovim.

I can't seem to find any existing similar issues but I'm happy to include more information or open an issue on the tailwind repo if it's more likely to be a problem with the language server itself.

I'm using mason with lazyvim (kickstart.nvim) with the default tailwind server config.
