Release URI 3.0.0

Current version in Pypi (2.0.1) is not compatible with recent Python releases, but the development branch is.

Can we publish it to the public repositories to make it easier to have uri as a dependency?

Howdy!

It is. However, between my last reply and now I suffered a major aneurysm and was forced to move across the country to live with family, and am still in the process of reorganization and recovery. Things have been hectic… and other adjectives, as you could imagine!

I have begun modernization of the Marrow projects, starting with this one, to use pyproject.toml metadata and integrate the develop branch changes which make it forward compatible.

Continued interest is wonderful to see, so thank you for the reminder that this is important to prioritize.

We really appreciate this project and find it very useful. An official 3.0.0 release would be wonderful to have.
