Hi folks !
Love the work being done on marimo. I am quite excited for this to become the tool of choice for analytics and data science
I think it would be a great addition to enable model context protocol host for marimo. I understand there's already an AI assistant inbuilt in marimo and if it can act as a host, it will let us connect locally running MCP servers.
In my workflow, I primarily use the MCP to connect to the following resources
I'm currently using cursor for its superior UI and workflow and integration with MCP servers. Honestly, if marimo let's me utilise these capabilities, I'd be more than happy to completely switch to a marimo workflow. I really want to because I'm an analyst and cursor isn't purpose built for it.
I've even tried using the vscode extension and running marimo notebooks in cursor. Its workable but not as intuitive as it doesn't edit the notebook directly. I may have missed some things in my setup and would be grateful if someone can guide me in a more effective setup if they have managed to use it.
What setups are people using with Marimo ? I'm coming to realise that an AI integration is a non-negotiable for me. Happy to hear more inputs on this !
