Setup without archive server feature

Is there a way to configure this to forgo the server archiving feature? I'm only interested in the ability to retain more than one hour of RecentClips to the the data_drive.

You can specify "none" as the archive method. I thought that was documented somewhere but apparently not.

Does this mean setting the ARCHIVE_SYSTEM variable to none? Also do we still need to setup the SSID and WIFIPASS and have it connect to wifi if the archive is set to none?

You don't have to set up wifi, but given that the web interface is the only way to access the extra RecentClips, it doesn't really make sense to not configure wifi.

Ohh we're unable to access the raw .mp4 files of those extra RecentClips? Even if we're using an external USB data_drive?

Well, I suppose you can plug the drive into a (Linux) computer and manually mount the disk images that contain the extra RecentClips, but accessing them via the network is a lot easier. You won't be able to see them in the car's dashcam viewer though. Since you're using an external data drive, you're probably using a Pi4 or similar, so you can also use Ethernet, if you really don't want to configure wifi.
