Matlab: "fmincon stopped because it exceeded the function evaluation limit" 

Hi, I have one question.
I run the main.m code (in "matlab/parameters_retrieval") in Matlab 2018a and Matlab2019b. But it always warns "fmincon stopped because it exceeded the function evaluation limit".  Does this script only work in Matlab 2018b just like mentioned in Readme.txt?
