I am in the exact same boat. Where am I supposed to put custom device files so they don't get blown away on an update? |

I created a custom component yaml. It has my own specific settings that would not be very interesting for the broader community, so I just store it in the tuya_local/devices folder. Everything works as desired, except that this file gets deleted every month when a new version of Tuya Local is released. Is there a way to create custom components in such a way where version update wouldn't just delete them? Anyone has any clues? Or would this be a new feature request?
