F6-02-01 Long Press Issue

I have a question about the F6-02-01 switch modules.
Currently if I create a automation in HomeAssistant with short and long press, however when I press the button, to initiate a long press, the short press action triggers and when I release the button the long press action triggers.

Is it somehow possible to reliably detect the long press or at least have something like with the D2‐03‐0A with long and short press, maybe a virtual button could be added like long press release.

Would something like that be possible at all or do I overthink that all since I haven't been able to solve that yet.

Currently I'm using the Fork from @madejackson but I post here since there is no issue tracker or similar enabled over there.

Anyways. You need to do a special automation for it to work. Here's my automation to have a long press dim function:

Oh this makes sense for my dimmers, cool thanks.

However I have a few other automations/switches that I use to switch something off by doing the long press however that would mean that this automation would constantly switch the device off or toggle it and I'm looking for a clean solution so that it is only triggered once.

So I assume my idea with mappings.yaml and long_press_release_ai button would not work correct?

Please forgive me that I probably overthink a few things but I just started using EnOcean and have to get a bit more familiar with it.

I think you can adapt the automation a bit: You need to evaluate the press duration on release and then start the action based on the lenght. So the press command is only used as the duration eval and not as a trigger anymore.
