Need help with GAMS community license limits when running MAgPIE - possible NEOS integration? #810

Sorry for the delayed response. To your questions: We also made some tests a while ago to get MAgPIE running with the NEOS service but unfortunately we did not find a way to reduce the model to a size small enough so that the NEOS service can be used. And there was actually not only the model complexity limit we ran into but also the general model/output file size limits of the service. In case you find a solution getting MAgPIE compatible to NEOS I would be very interested learning about it but from my perspective I currently do not see a solution. |

Hi MAgPIE team,
I hope you're doing well. I've encountered an issue while running MAgPIE and would appreciate your guidance.
Problem Description:
When running MAgPIE, I received an error related to GAMS community license limitations. After checking the
full.lst
file in the output project folder, I found the following error message:Questions:
I have two main questions regarding this issue:
NEOS Integration: Is there a way to modify certain files in MAgPIE to enable automatic submission to the NEOS service as suggested by GAMS? If so, could you please point me to which files might need modification and what changes would be required?
Model Size Optimization: Are there any configuration options or settings within MAgPIE that could help reduce the model size to stay within the GAMS community license limits (under 2500 rows/columns for nonlinear models)?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or guidance you might have. Thank you for your time and for maintaining this excellent work!
