Still machinekit-hal usefoul on BeagleBone Black?

Hello!!!
In this days I have tried to install machinekit-hal on an old BeagleBone Black rev.A board but the performance is very very poor...
I have tried with debian buster (10.3) with RT_PREEMPT kernel connecting to the board via ssh.
Someone have an ready-to-use sdCard image?

Is machinekit-hal an alive project or is abandoned?
