Blog Page with Formatted Previews

I'm trying to use a static page as my home page and that's great, but I want to relocate the blog listing that typically shows up there to a "Blog" page. Is there a way to make this happen? If I have mainSections = [ ] in the config.toml, I can't get anything to show.
