failed to add hosts

Hi,

I got an error when I execute launcher_aoe2 as follows:

Found 'server' executable path: D:\Age of Empires II - Definitive Edition\launcher\..\server\server.exe
Starting 'server', authorize it in firewall if needed...
'Server' started.
Adding hosts to hosts file, authorize 'config-admin-agent' if needed...
Failed to add hosts.
Exit code: 23.
Stopping 'server'...
'Server' stopped.
Program finished with errors...
Press any key to continue . . .

Try to follow every steps details and still fail, here's what i have done
on D:\Age of Empires II - Definitive Edition\launcher\resources\config.aoe2.toml
Executable = 'D:\Age of Empires II - Definitive Edition\launcher\launcher.exe'

on D:\Age of Empires II - Definitive Edition\server\resources\config\config.toml

Hosts = ['192.168.0.120']
Multicast = false

Any idea how to fix this ?

Hello:

I would suggest configuring the hosts manually:

Open the windows hosts file (c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts) with Notepad with administrador rights and add the line
192.168.0.120 aoe-api.reliclink.com, aoe-api.worldsedgelink.com and pb-live-release1-api.worldsedgelink.com (make sure there are no other lines with those hosts)
then in the launcher config.toml set CanAddHost to false

No problem, enjoy :) (for some reason, for some people it the launcher fails to add what you added manually)
