Im curios what type of backend does this use,it uses mpv?or something because i don't know
Im not using kde plasma but i just want to know the back-end to this

It uses Qt multimedia, which uses ffmpeg by default or gstreamer with a separate package and an environment variable, this information is on the readme.

There is work on adding a mpv backend using mpvqt but is kind of stalled due to skill issue and lack of time/motivation #133

oh well DON'T ADD IT i say this since wen i was using kde plasma before switching to hyprland i was using your extension which already took 90-80% gpu don't worry i have a shit igpu and now using hyprland with mpvpaper backend for waypaper my igpu hits 100% instantly now

Is hardware acceleration working properly? You should see the video decoding engine being used in intel_gpu_top (from intel-gpu-tools).

Probably not available in my i3 gen3 processor in some circumstances
