Filtering Emojis

I'm trying to implement a validation that filters out emojis with an extended rule and the regex described here.
It displays the validation error from the custom rule, but the error persists after deleting the emojis.
I'm using require|alpha_spaces for Name and Address.
I need to prevent users from using emojis on the address. The require|alpha_spaces renders a default error, but when I tried to pipe the emoji rule, I ran into the error persistence issue. The rules have the same signature.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get around this issue?

I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I ended up re-writing our plugin to fit our project better.
I do have a question regarding the email rule. It accepts emojis and special characters. Is it by design? It can be problematic.
Is there an option to flag characters we don't want on the email field using the default rule?
If not, I will create a custom rule for the email.

Hey, no worries. No it is not by design, the built rules use simple implementations to keep things small and contained. So stuff like this while not expected, it is not really "fixable".

I would suggest using validator.js#isEmail here since it s very robust and covers a lot of edge cases. You can override the default email rule with it.
