Domain and subdomain

Context: I have a landing page site.tld and a dashboard app.site.tld. The checkout process is started via the dashboard. However, referrals first land on the landing page. The https://lmsqueezy.com/affiliate.js-SDK is used on both sides.

Question: Does the https://lmsqueezy.com/affiliate.js-SDK recognize when a customer has been referred via the landing page and then starts checkout via the dashboard, or does it only work on the same domain?
