Merging acquiring and acquired company on the organization dashboard

My company (A) was acquired last year by company (B), currently both A and B appear as contributing organizations in the leaderboard. Is it possible to change company name A to B retroactively from the acquisition date forward in the organization board, leaving organization A as a contributor just for the period before the acquisition?

I'd love to say yes but I'm afraid our data pipeline doesn't quite support this due to the way our data ingestion process works. 🙁

It's complicated, but it basically depends on external resources like Github and LinkedIn, and how the users, their actions, and their organisation affiliations are at a given time, so unless we can rewrite some of that history, we won't see changes on Insights.
