Hey @hythloda, Thanks for reaching out. Every project group/umbrella foundation at the Linux Foundation has a Collection in Insights, including all projects that belong to the project group. The data for this comes from our Community Data Platform (fka Community Management). Insights does not support multi-level nesting of projects, but only:
If there are projects with multiple sub-projects that you would like to group, we can create a new Collection for it. Reg OpenBao: Thanks for the heads up. I removed it from the LF Edge collection. |

Hello,
We were wondering what some things about collections.
For example, how does a collection compare to the traditional term umbrella? If it is one project why is it a collection?
Also, what makes a featured project (under collections), some of the ones listed are not really the ones we would think of as featured.
Where is the data coming from? For example, OpenBao is under OpenSSF (correct) but it is listed under the LF Edge collection (not correct).
It also seems a little odd that collections are not nested and grandchild projects are listed at same level as child projects. For example, “Multi-site State Coordination Service (MUSIC)” is under LFN but should be under ONAP that is under LFN
