Recently, I also think about this thing. Since Neovim is deprecating these APIs in its core layer (implemented in C), it looks we will have to keep up with it. I think I will only support the last legacy major version, while those earlier versions will be dropped. For example, at the time of writing this comment, 2024-06-04, the stable version is v0.10, nightly is v0.11, the last legacy version is v0.9. So v0.9 is still supported, but earlier versions such as v0.8, v0.7 support will be dropped. |
