quantity discounts and promos

Webstore 3.2.9

If you have a quantity discount applied to a product in your cart, then add a promocode, the quantity discount is replaced by the promocode discount (not applied on top of). And, if you remove the promocode, the regular price is applied, not the quantity discount. If you manually adjust the quantity, you can get the quantity pricing to kick in again. Is webstore geared to layer discounts in this way?

Hi there. Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the delay.

Web Store is not currently designed to layer discounts. We have tickets in our backlog to explore options for redesigning how Web Store handles discounts, as well as to address the inconsistent behaviour you've described with regard to adding and removing the promo code and it's effect on the quantity discount. We're tracking these as WS-2920 and WS-4403. Unfortunately, though, we don't have currently have an ETA for either of these.
