An Official Desktop Client

I know it's not exactly an app-oriented API, but if mobile can have apps for it, why not the desktop?

Windows, Linux and Mac. Probably using Electron or something.

It would be kind of cool if Linux at least had a Flatpak. That way GNU Chess finally technically has a competitor.

You can install the Lichess website as a PWA with Chrome based browsers.
