Hello. So, the dropdown menu for the Date filter of lichess Insights lists choices for "last month" and "last year." Generally we (USA/English??) use these terms to refer to the previous month or previous year. So, if it is June, for example, and someone says "last month" they mean May. To indicate the previous four weeks, the weeks leading up to today, we would say "last 4 weeks". The same goes for "last year." People generally use that to refer to the previous calendar year. So, if it is 2025, "last year" refers to 2024, in its entirety. The last 52 weeks leading up to today would be "Last 12 months." It is confusing, because last 2 years does indicate (to me) that it's the last 24 months leading up to today. So, I guess the issue only occurs when the item is singular.
I don't know if this is important enough to change or not, but its always bugged me. :-)
