I really like thoses ideas. One last ting i would add to your list that also could cover your multiday events scenario is :

A Calendar : a collection of events.

It could be used for event organizers to publish multiples events into an umbrella (like a city wide conference with lot of venues)
It could also be used by users to make their own calendar and be able to sync via ical/ICS or calDAV.
