Feature Request - Add do not show to update screen

A "Update now" or "Remind me later" is an abusive dark patter.

Allow the user to dismiss this dialog and make it not show up in the future.

This is not planned.

The whole point is to nag the user to update, to stop all the annoying issues that were reported due to people not checking the GITHUB for new versions.

The FGAddon release do not include any in-sim update notifications, that is handled by the FG launcher.

No, it's not, excessive, the dialog is tho! If it would be a website, you would violate the GDPR!
This has multiple issues consumer unfriendly companies use. You have no way to say "I don't want to see this again", the color coding is manipulative towards one option. Imagine a person with more power would be in a rather aggressive pushy tone every time you meet: "Do you want me to beat you up? Yes or should I ask again next time?" Doesn't sound healthy, does it?

And this is NOT how consent works! Consent has to be:

• Freely given, without getting pressured or face consequences when you say "no"
• Revocable, I have to be able to change my mind that I don't want something anymore
• Informed, that's like the one of 2 points this dialog fulfills
• Enthusiastic, I should want to click that like out of my own motivation cause I want to see it, not cause I've got too annoyed by it
• Specific, this is the other point this dialog fulfills

I had the sim running on an event and then suddenly everyone always had this dialog when they wanted to try the sim...
Not really a good impression.
And it also makes working on a branch, where I didn't bump that number, really annoying.

It's completely excessive. That's a terrible analogy and nothing like is going on here. You're reaching in order to justify your argument.

You are free to set no update check to true.

I implemented this update notification 8 years ago and was only met with praise. Just because YOU personally decide you don't like it doesn't mean we have to change the whole software. That's ridiculous.

I never asked to change the entire software! In fact, I never even said how this could be solved, I just raised the issue.
2 Small changes would go a far way:

• "Don't show again" check box (you already mention that, just expose it to the user!)
• Color both buttons the same
