As a proof-of-concept, I've managed to compile and run the CLI application as WASI bytecode and run with Wasmer. It seems to work fine.
The next step would be to build a WASM version and expose to JavaScript for use in browsers.
The instructions have been added to the ReadMe file in ledger-rs-lib project.
