Cookbook / Recipes

Looking at the recurring questions in the various forums, it seems that having a Cookbook with Recipes would serve a purpose.

The goal is to list the common scenarios, from simple to advanced.
I.e.

Data syntax recipes:

• how to create a transaction
• how to purchase stocks (proper Lot syntax)
• how to perform Return of Capital?

Command syntax recipes:

• how to filter transactions in specific currency?
• how to show transactions with effective date?

For the command syntax, perhaps a Q&A format with pointers to the documentation would be enough.
The data recipes are not well documented elsewhere but scattered across various forums and/or test suites, I believe.

Having an mdBook would be great.

The repo and the site have been set up. The discussion will remain open for feedback for a while longer but it would be more appropriate to continue relevant discussions/issues in the related repository.
