On several Moodle 4.5.x servers, with mod_collabora version v4.5.4 (2025031600), we see sometimes Collabora not starting although it is available. Instead a red error notice is shown, saying ...

or in English ...

Any hints what's going wrong here?

Had a look to the source code. The correct English sentence is probably

Unsupported filetype application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document

And probably the source is function get_url_from_mimetype(), but that's just a guess and the reason is still not clear as this filetype is supported as far as I can see.

BTW: We are also getting similar user complaints about the filetype application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet.

We also made a network analysis with the browsers web development tools. The Collabora server was not contacted by the browser! So the problem seems to be inside of Moodle.

Unfortunately we can not always reproduce the problem, because sometimes everything works fine, than the error appears. Everything on the same Moodle server, without clearing caches or doing something else to mitigate the problem.

And URL is https://moodle.example-server.de/mod/collabora/view.php?id=22775 (server name is faked). Screenshot is from this morning. Currently it works fine. Clueless :-(
