Templates for estimating annual burn probability and fire severity

Hello (:

I want to use ELMFIRE for estimating annual burn probability and fire severity for regions outside of the United States. I'm currently considering two approaches:

1. Taking the tutorial "04-fire-potential" as a starting point and modifying its "elmfire.data" file to enable Monte Carlo simulations.

2. Using the risk template available in the following directory (https://github.com/lautenberger/elmfire/tree/main/runs/risk/template/empty_run). I plan to customize this template to accommodate fuels and topographic data specific to the area outside the U.S., replacing the Landfire data it currently relies on.

Am I on the right track with any of these options? Would you recommend a different approach?
