Season to season changes

Trying to figure out the season configurations. For example:

[get-data.2023-24]
start_date = "2023-10-23"
end_date = "2024-4-28"
start_year = "2023"
end_year = "2024"

The season dates:
Regular season start: Oct 24
Regular season end: Apr 14
Playoffs begin: Apr 20
Finals begin: June 6
Start_date seems to be regular season minus 1 day
But end date has me confused. Any hints?

Also regarding season to season updates, there seems to be changes to Add_Days_Rest and maybe others. Is there a list of changes to make season to season?
