It is not clear why the apparently same result is repeated twice (2538 and 2539 in the picture). It seems that, in 2539, the adjective "ἐϋσθενέες" counts as the one in #2 and, at the same time, the one in #3. However, I would expect from the query that the adjectives in #2 and #3 are different tokens.

The constraint, that two nodes can't be the same inside the same match is only enforced if there is a direct relation between the nodes. For the example query
pos="n" .1,2 pos="a" & pos="a" .1,2 pos="n" & #1 .1,4 #3 @* author="Quintus Smyrnaeus" and the match 2539, the token ἐϋσθενέες matches both the second #2 and third #3 node of the query.

Both query nodes have no direct relationship to each other. If you change the query to include a relationship between #2 and #3 it excludes these matches.
