Does ANNIS record the queries users run? Where?

You can add the following line to the application.properties file (http://korpling.github.io/ANNIS/4/user-guide/configuration/index.html) to enable debug logging for the query controller:

logging.level.org.corpus_tools.annis.gui.QueryController=debug

This will created output like

You can pipe and filter the application log to a file to make it easier to extract only the queries.
