Hangs KODI when exiting

This gets installed by script.skin.helper.service as a dependency. When installed on Kodi 17.x in Windows 10 for example it will cause Kodi to hang on exit and require the user to force terminate Kodi to exit. Removing script.module.cherrypy resolved the problem but then causes script.skin.helper.service to toss errors.
