You can override prompts by either directly modifying src/khoj/processor/conversation/prompts.py, or by creating a custom prompts file and updating the imports to load yours instead. For a cleaner setup, it's better to extend it with your own file to avoid issues when updating Khoj.

I think there's no official documentation for that yet.
But basically, you can create your own custom prompts file (same structure as the original), and then manually update the import to point to your custom file instead of the default one.
It’s a manual step for now, but it works fine.

Not necessarily.
If you want, you can use a Docker bind mount to override prompts.py at runtime, but it's simpler to just update the import inside the codebase if you're working locally.
Bind mounting is more useful if you want to keep your custom prompts separate without modifying the Khoj source directly.
