How to make/add obscure key code?

Hi! I'm using a UST home theater projector that's running some old version of Android and KeyMapper works perfectly on it. All the buttons on the remote are easily re-mapped. The only issue I have is that this projector uses a weird key for the input command. (To open the source select menu) When I use the "Record Trigger" button and press the input button on my projector's remote, the trigger is named "TV Input". I want to set an action that involves pressing that "TV Input" button, but all the keycodes I tried (including all the key-codes with specific inputs) in the actions didn't work. Is there a way for me to either record the same button for the action or somehow find its correct keycode?

Hi, what happens normally when you press the button? What do you want to change about the function of the button?

My guess would be that the Input button is starting another app activity, rather than inputting a key code.
If you have a look at the 'Send intent' action, you can read a very long list of activities. Maybe try to find the activity in that list that opens the input switcher menu. You can probably search for key words like 'input, source, menu, switcher, select' etc.

Alternatively it could be an app, or an app shortcut, and so it would appear in those lists, which you can find by adding the 'Launch app' and 'Launch app shortcut' actions

That's pretty much where I'm confused too. The source launcher interface looks very similar to the settings interface, which is it's own app. When I look at apps to open, there are only 4 or 5 options and none of them are right. For app shortcuts, there's also only 4 options (bookmark, contact, email folder, music playlist, and KeyMapper Perform Actions). An alternative way to open the launcher menu is a shortcut on the projector's Home Launcher, if that helps. I also took a look at the "send Intent" option in Actions, but all the fields of send intent are blank so there's nothing to search like you suggested. Is there something I need to input or do to get the intents working?

Oh, I found the activity list in the app. I just didn't see it because I didn't know how to scroll down. I found the correct app and now I'm arranging the actions to do all the button presses. Thank you so much!
