Would this cable work?

Hi,

I am looking at setting this up with my sunsynk inverter as i would like to get predbat up and running. Im a little confused as to what specifically i need so just wanted to sense check what i was thinking of doing.

My plan is to have an external rated ethernet cable go from the RS485 on my inverter (outside) into my loft (where my server running HA lives) and then use a ethernet extender (female to female) to connect to this cable This would then plug into my proxmox server which has HAOS running on it.

Would this work and is that cable ok to use?

Also would putting the external ethernet into an ethernet hub/switch work as if it would that makes my life a lot easier.
