syslog support?

Is there any plan to add support for syslog based logging at all? It seems that LogType' it extensible enough to add such support.

Is there a philosophical reason why syslog support has not been added yet, or is it just priority/effort? Is is there a companion package that adds syslog support on top of fast-logger?

No reason to not support the syslog style. If you really want it, please consider that the style should be implemented into fast-logger or another package atop fast-logger.
