Hello, I would like to start a "Debugging Documentation thread" to gather information about what tools exist in gptel to debug various things.

Question 1) is: How can you debug what is "LLM response" and what is "user text"?

(I sometimes see strange behavior there that I would like to better understand).

If I understand the discussion correctly (#321, #565) "invisible markers" are now being inserted there. What kind of characters are those? Can I make them visible in emacs?

Or is this information still encoded in the ":GPTEL_BOUNDS:" property?

Question 2) is: Is it possible to obtain the precise curl command for a specific query, allowing it to be executed directly from the command line?

i know, in gptel-menu you can press "J" and then get a "gptel-query"-buffer. Can you get the complete curl command?

They are text-properties, not markers. Any text in the buffer whose gptel text-property is response is part of the response.

Can I make them visible in emacs?

See #343 for a way to color-code responses.

GPTEL_BOUNDS and gptel--bounds don't have any bearing on the response encoding except when saving chat buffers to and reading them from disk.
